    Contribution is not appreciated
The good thingsYou are usually left alone to do your work.
The challengesCan feel robotic at times. Management doesn't invest in personal growth. They put you in courses for their benefit.

Mentallyy stressful from the first day onboard.
The good thingsFriendly colleagues that are willing to help.
The challengesI shall now sugar coat my words and i will be as honest as it can be. Learning curve is super steep. There's very little orientation for newcomers. first day of work, right after you are assigned to your laptops and desk, you will probably received around 10 new projects assigned to you into your work emails. you get 2-3 new projects every few days and each projects take at least 3-4 months to complete if everything goes smooth but it usually doesnt. literally just throw you into a pile of mess. turn over rate is high as well. in my super short stay there, i learnt that many others have as much as 80+ projects assigned to them at any given time. So much so that you have to smoke your customer until much progress have been made. thats how it is there. many times, people leave and their projects just gets thrown to you, with little info made available for you to carry forward and many empty promises made to the clients. dont be misguided by their good google reviews. they are mostly bought reviews. i know this from the people working there. you also get incentive if your clients gives you a good review. they have a huge team to work with but with the amount of projects they take up, it will never be enough. many times the sales team will promise cilents many things that the project executives and developers could not deliver. thats just how it is there. and yup you probably have to OT a few days every week without fail given the amount of work and projects thrown at you. so if you value your work life balance. i will not recommend it here. you will probably have to endure frustrated clients looking for you all the time.

    Hustle smart, not just hard
The good thingsOpportunities: You are given opportunities to take charge of your career path. If you can't do sales, you can request for a department switch (which is usually given). Learning: Digital marketing skills training is given to help you better understand the industry, what you are selling, and what issues clients are facing. Location - Kallang Way is quite central, very important especially when you're travelling all over Singapore to meet prospects Culture: Team bonding sessions after work (paid by management), colleagues are willing to help each other out / share ideas on how to hit our targets. Management: Receptive of new lead generating ideas, helps us clock our call numbers much easier. Willing to take risks which is beneficial for the business in the long run. Benefits: Work mobile phone is provided so that you can segregate work from your own personal number. Additional maternity benefits and personal touch from management is much appreciated too.
The challengesNeed to manage new-comers / fresh grads who might have unrealistic expectations for a sales-related job. Sales is cut-throat and you have to know how our product or services are better than competitors. Many sales people here don't understand that, or do their own research on how our competitors are packaging themselves. This is inevitable and will likely require time outside of regular working hours. Learn what type of client or industry converts better, and address their pain points well. If you are able to do that, then hitting sales revenue targets are possible. Don't blame your work conditions or workload.

    Work hard, play hard
The good thingsExposure to clients from all walks of life, and learning how to deal with them. Learning digital marketing skills from company's own digital marketing school.
The challengesWork can be hectic, but you have to learn how to prioritize your time. A 9-6 agency life is hard to achieve, but it is possible

Many opportunities to learn and grow as a digital marketer
The good thingsFrequent on-job training for new staff and existing staff to help them in their field of work. You can even request to join a course that is not directly related to your work but for your own self-learning Work-wise, the pace is always fast with new campaigns from different industries always coming in. but hey that's where you get to shine, right?
The challengesColleagues who can't handle the workload or are not serious about their work and then leave. and the work falls on the rest of us

    Beautiful Work Environment
The good thingsThe workplace at FirstCom is amazing. You can tell the team really put a lot of effort into making the environment inviting for employees.
The challengesHardest part of the job is the changes made on quarter to quarter. Even with the changes senior management still makes the goals achievable although difficult.

    open-minded management
The good things- Management is very open and supportive to new ideas, they do their best to make it a vibrant work place for their staff. - No politics - Young working environment - Good for individuals who love challenges and have excellent time management skills
The challenges- Requires major dedication to your work - You will encounter many unhappy clients from the past, you need to know how to manage them and solve other people's issues. - Lack of inter-department teamwork, everyone is just trying to finish their own task and move on to the next project, leaving unsolved issues to the other team. - Staff benefits can be improved (even for locals: No insurance, No dental benefits, very minimal health benefits)

    Opportunities
The good thingsAfter working here for awhile, it is really about your own work ethics and how positive you can be in a work environment. In short: A management that knows what they're doing and constantly motivates you to challenge yourself in the name of self improvement. #stresslevelZERO
The challengesYou really have to manage your time well. There is a time to work, and there is also a time to play.

    Positively Challenging
The good thingsA positive environment with great colleagues and bosses! The management team is always open to discussion and new suggestions. Personally, I feel that the company is always trying to improve and treat the staffs fairly, which makes the working experience better. The workload is positively challenging at times but it helps us to work on our skill set and allows us to explore new skills as well.
The challengesSome works are rushed due to time constraint. It's not in designers' control but perhaps that can be improved further. Perhaps, we can try to focus on quality works rather than quantity.

messy system, lots of dissatisfied customers
The good thingsnothing enjoyable, constant micromanagement in this place where they dont trust you to work on your own. hr and finance are their own people, dont expect a lot of increment. starting pay is low and their job is to keep your pay low so they can afford you and keep you inside the company.
The challengesall sorts of projects are taken by the company regardless of whether it is doable or not. this will arrive on your lap and you have to fix the mess they have created. long working hours expected as well

    Biased Company
The good thingsThere nothing good working here. Couldn't name any positive side of working here.
The challengesCompany is biased to their employee especially the HR. They only side the people of theirs. If you have questions or doubt on something, they won't even reply or answer. When you need help on the work, they are unwilling to teach.

Fast paced environment with good colleagues!
The good thingsGreat and friendly environment. Colleagues are generally helpful and hardworking. Also, we get to experience the occasional company outings and free treats from our clients. Like most companies, there is still a room of improvement to be adjusted and opportunities to grow but overall, a very good company to work with where you will get to be familiarise working in a fast paced environment.
The challengesThe only challenge that I can think of is that the work load as a Digital Marketing Designer can be quite stressful at times as they are quite fast paced especially for entry level designers. But not to worry as there are reliable colleagues to guide you as you go along.
