    Tack! Ikea
The good thingsWorking culture and diversity is excellent. Everyone is friendly to each other. Feels like one big family. Good communication throughout the company, with minimal barrier between management and warehouse operators. Good opportunity to develop vertically as well as laterally. Easy to gain experience and widening personal job portfolio.
The challengesChallenges include getting into management from operations. Good networking is needed to move around within the different departments.

    Challenging and fun
The good thingsThe team was very supportive in terms of teamwork and training, they gave opportunities to learn the various functions of a customer service department in a big store. Things like CRM and dealing with the warehouse were aspects of the training. Quality management was also one of the things interns were exposed to.
The challengesThe store I worked in was a bit different to other IKEA stores, the warehouse was above the store and items had to be brought down by service elevator, the elevator was pretty slow and there was a tendency for a jam during times of high shopping volume. As a result, staff were faced with pretty irate customers on weekends.

Not only a workplace a home too!
The good thingsIn IKEA the TOGETHERNESS & ENTHUSIASM in every co-worker is natural when you are in the TEAM. In IKEA we are colleagues and when we are outside IKEA we are more than that, in fact we are just like a huge FAMILY. IKEA gives you opportunity to grow and develop. I love IKEA. I love the people too. Thanks IKEA for the opportunities and the support given to us. Everyday is a new learning journey for us
The challengesMentally and physically prepared. Adapt to changes. To have the bond and the trust of one another is always a challenge.
