    IPPUDO was founded in Hakata, ramen capital of Japan by Shigemi Kawahara, the internationally renowned Ramen King, and the founder of CHIKARANOMOTO GROUP which encompasses some of the finest restaurants in Japan.When IPPUDO first opened its door in 1985 Daimyo Hakata, it had a counter seating capacity of only ten.Today, IPPUDO has expanded the business and has over 180 stores across Japan and over 70 stores around the world.
