In a year i experiences being a cashier and also a food packer. The work experience was valuable and learn a lot of things there such as patience and how to serve customer better.The good thingsWhen i started working without any experience, not being able to get along with my colleagues and handling the workload was a big concern for me. Fortunately, my colleagues were very approachable and they offered to help me whenever they saw that i had too much on my hands.!All in all, my work experience was a valuable one and i will definitely be able to bring these skills with me to other industries.
The challengesI had zero experience with regards to working in the F&B industry. I had to learn everything in a day and at first, i thought it was too much to handle. I had many challenges especially during the first few days of work. These challenges eventually went away with time and experience. Another challenge that i met was during peak hours when there were too many customers. During these times, customers tend to be more sensitive due to longer waiting time. They would then take their anger out on me and i would be at a loss sometimes. As time went by, i also learnt how to solve these problems better.
