A MNC company but functions like a SME on conveniences
The good thingsFlexible working hours if you are a field staff, as they come in late and leave early pretty often, but that's only for field staff. Office staff regularly work OT and I feel that they are not recognized for their sacrifices, rather "it is your job"?
The challengesOld habits die hard. though Danaher is a well established company with their DBS system, basic processes like 5S, Kaizen and general sales or logistical processes are unfortunately not established properly nor done. It is hard when the top and other Operating Company function following the DBS way, while Leica Microsystems (SEA) Pte Ltd doesn't. They talk but don't do the walk, which can be frustrating.

The good thingsAble to perform personal research and propose as future project. Able to voice as individual and is heard.
The challengesChallenge is the nature of manufacturing which shows why we need to be active to maintain production is in control.
