A good leader brings out the best in their team. MDIS has lost a good leader and doesnt groom one.
The good thingsThere is nothing good here, as everyone is after power and position.
The challengesEvery day is a challenge here.

Please consider their teaching role carefully.
The good thingsThere's autonomy in creating the presentation slides for the lessons.
The challengesThe working environment is toxic and it's evident from the high attrition rate among the employees. The textbook is very dated - they are still using textbooks that were published 10 years ago and lecturers are expected to make it relevant to the class. They seem to be quite open to assign full-time roles that require strong academic standing to individuals who are not professors.

record breaking for HR manager within a month
The good thingsstaff come and go within a short notice period
The challengesmanaged to find a replacement for HR manager after a long time only to have the position vacant again within a month. Not surprising coming from the most notorious MDIS whereby staff can come and go within 1 day to 1 week to 1 month.

    stay away from this place
The good thingsnothing good to say here
The challengeswith so many current and ex-employees and none of them are saying anything good about this company. The public should be aware of this company and their hiring practices so as to stay away from them. Even if you are super desperate DO NOT take their job offer, for your own mental and physical health.

High turnover rate with frequent staff terminations
The good thingsBusiest HR department ever
The challenges1) HR job is to terminate staff, then hire and repeat itself. 2) Many vacancies but yet headcount freeze 3) Difficult to hire with low salary and poor employees benefits 4) Low morale as some schools/programmes are closing & expect more staff terminations ahead 5) Job scope does not match salary package; need to take up multiple roles

Best is not to join any department in here
The good thingsthe good thing is going home on time on some days
The challengesTo those who intend to join the company better don't join level 3. Almost all the department have problems is like it is cursed. the department there are running on very minimal manpower. some is one man show. especially the old man personal pet the highly toxic QAS manager will make things extremely difficult for you with his excuse' EFR' or 'CPE'. Anything he refuse to do will push to others to do for him with this excuse so that he can claim credit and that's how he got promoted.

The good thingsnear to hawker centre and public transport
The challengesthe people are not exactly helpful as most of them are new less than a year in the job. Turnover rate is super high especially in level 3. QA and IM have the highest turnover rate due to the mismanagement of the people there, better beware of the manager in quality behave like some coffeeshop uncle and super micromanaging and petty

In the reds for almost 10 years
The good thingsCan get in easily cos many staff resigned
The challengesUncertain future after Council announced that MDIS is in the reds for almost 10 years. Many staffs left / are planning to leave after management informed of impeding school closure. Another 3 staffs were terminated suddenly; Staff complain to Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) for unfair treatment and termination. Headcount freeze so remaining staffs need to cover more roles and responsibilities. High staff turnover rate. Likely to become worse with more staffs planning to leave and no one wanna come in. need to clock in/out everyday; no WFH No career development; many stay for ~1 year and bye bye. Management expects high job roles but only give low ball salary Need to be humble and agree to top management or risk being terminated.

    Worst ever experience.
The good thingsYou handle your students the way you would. Some students are manageable, some students are beyond management.
The challengesThe management is horrendous, as and when someone leaves, they just pass the tasks on to someone irregardless of whether they can handle it or not with no proper handover.

The good thingssome colleagues are nice
The challengesLow moral and great uncertainties as some schools will be shut down at end-year. Top management refuse to disclose further information to address staff concerns. More staffs are leaving or planning to leave an already short-handed team.
