    Not recommended for those seeking IT work especially Project Managers.
    The good things1) A Lot of TownHalls gathering with free food. 2) 13th month Annual Wage Supplement (AWS).
    The challenges1) Political company - blaming game and supervisor will just push the blame to subordinate instead. 2) Ad hocs work - deployment until 7 am, still need to go to office for meetings. 3) Low increment - only provide you high salary when they want to hire you.

    The good thingsMediacorp offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities to grow across TV, radio, and digital. Staff enjoy modern facilities, supportive teams, and involvement in high-profile events like NDP. Great benefits and purposeful work make it a rewarding place to be.
    The challengesFaced challenges balancing irregular hours and on-call duties, especially after starting a family. Live event pressures and last-minute changes were intense, making it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance despite enjoying the role and team.

    The challengesold school management, incompetent senior staffs were excused for unable to perform difficult jobs, gimmicks such as townhalls does not work.

    The challenges1. I could not access many things in the system, thus I could only wait until my colleagues emailed me the files that I need. Therefore, it might be a little bit inconvenient.

    Good people, bad management
    The good thingsThe community was great, really loved working with my colleagues. Sometimes it felt like a kampung - when you walk around the campus, you bump into the familiar faces you see every day and everyone's friendly and welcoming. The staff who work at Mediacorp are mostly wonderful people.
    The challengesManagement didn't seem open to fresh new ideas - they had a very fixed, rigid idea of what worked, and surprisingly did not really listen to the ideas of those who actually worked in the stations. They were also too averse to taking risks, too focused on money, not focused enough on quality programming, and most definitely stuck in the past.

    The best internship experience I could have ever asked for
    The good thingsEveryone from the Assistant Vice President to the Senior Interns were very helpful and welcoming. There is always a strong family vibe throughout the whole office. Lots of opportunities to gain new skills and experiences as well as meet all kinds of people.
    The challengesEveryone there works very very hard which is good, but sometimes, there is just too much for one single person to handle. I've had to work overtime quite a lot during my internship. If not for the fact that I love what I do, the pay compared to how much I actually work would have been a problem.

    The challengesThe upper / immediate bosses should interact more with the staffs on the ground working rather then just by listening to others on how the staffs work or asking their own staffs to spy on own staffs on how they work / perform . You can work very hard & be committed to work but at the end of the day they do not recognise the hard work you had put in. Even at times when the annual appraisal is for the superior to meet up with the staffs to interact with each other , they never practice this & what they do is just give a call over the phone. Worse still , when you write an e-mail to them requesting what other areas we should improve or any other extra roles we must take on . THEY DO NOT EVEN REPLY TO YOU.

    The good thingsMediacorp is a national TV station and produce quality programs thought the year.
    The challengesWorking for Mediacorp is very challenging, meeting deadline for transmission and able to produce qualities programs in a very short notice and work on a tight budget. Things to improve,have more updated equipments and resources.
