A Singapore headquartered Insurance and Reinsurance broker, Mitsui Bussan Pana Harrison Pte Ltd was established in 1980 though joint venture between Pana Insurance Pte Ltd (Singapore) and Harrison Horncastle Insurance Group (UK). In 2009, we became a Lloyds London registered broker. Over the years, our focus is to provide a total risk management solution to our clients. We have one of the most competent teams of financial advisers, life and general insurance brokers in Singapore. We wholly own subsidiaries and/or operate joint venture in China, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam and through partnership with Globex International, a US based broker Group. In 2020, Mitsui & Co Japan invested in us hence allowing us to work closely with the Japanese market. Mitsu & Co., Ltd. increase its stake to 51% of Pana Harrison in 2021 and rebrands to Mitsui Bussan Pana Harrison Pte. Not recommended if you want to climb the corporate ladder.
The good thingsAble to get off work on time, work load is bearable. A good place if you are looking to work until you retire.
The challengesThis is a small company, so chances for a promotion are very slim as people there tend to stat for a very long time. Growth in terms of personal development and skills, becomes stagnated after awhile.
Work environment is somewhat cold, as everyone minds their own business because there is no necessity to work with other teams.
Management can be quite childish when it comes to queries on the welfare of stuff. As they will ask you to refer to the manual, which is not very informtive to begin with. Don’t expect to see bonuses at the end of the year.
