Really very toxic. I left without a job because of the toxic department and the reporting manager.
The good thingsStaff discount at SingHealth eatery.
The challengesThe buddy system is good, but is all "on paper" (to look good). The tact of the HR could be improved too. For a technical role, there is no test for you during the pre-interview stage. By then I should have suspected it. The department I were in, they are not inclusive, and not welcoming, really treats me like transparent. They have their own clique and excludes you. Worse is reporting manager talks behind your back with other staff members. I think I am just unlucky.

    Good environment & colleagues
The good thingsGreat working environment in the Retail Pharmacy. Colleagues were very helpful in helping to acclimatize to the hectic work.
The challengesPoor pay. But it was to be expected as my position was a temporary assignment as a pharmacy assistant. Work that demands a lot of attention to detail as drug dosing are involved.

    Healthy working environment
The good thingsEach team members will look up for each other. Wherever a help is required, they will not hesitate to assist. It's a small scale department which is easier to manage and maintain.
The challengesTiming wise is an individual responsibility. It is flexible here but not to overuse it. Tasks given can be brought forward to next day, therefore, every day, there is a deadline to meet. Prioritising is very important to know what need to be done.

    Enriching experience
The good thingsThe staff were all very friendly. There were a lot of things that I have learnt just by working there and my knowledge on cancers have expanded a lot more especially on lymphomas. I have gotten to experience how a working environment in a lab feels like and how we can not only learn from the doctors and researchers but also from the patients and nurses who are there. The experience I have gotten from working at NCCS has really changed me a lot and the knowledge I have learnt from it are all very enriching.
