Good learning experience but heavy workload with minimal supportThe good thingsBenefits are good, no doubt about that. Pay is also above industry average when I first joined. Company also encourages and supports continuous learning by encouraging staff to attend courses and go for higher learning. Level of support depends on the department you are working for, with more supportive ground staff in the polyclinics, compared to HQ, where some tend to form groups.
The challengesWorkload is extremely heavy, especially the department I worked for where work was thrown to us without supervisor's first checking our bandwidth. There also seems to be a habit of sending and replying emails and messages after office hours which is a very unhealthy culture. Career development also seems to be quite stagnant, with not much opportunities for promotion.
