The good thingsTable tennis and foos ball
The challengesTop management very confrontational and not at all supportive. Long working hours and mad panic every end of Qtr to try and get all projects out to clients in time. Constant changes as so many people kept leaving due to the management not supporting staff.

The challengesIt would be better if the salary is higher to match with economy situation and if the more improvement opportunities across and within the country has.

    Met the best colleagues here
The good thingsGreat colleagues who became close friends. Everyone is very willing to teach and help you. Good start for fresh graduates. Gain a lot of industry knowledge that makes you valuable.
The challengesToo many restructuring and promotion requirement is not clear. Take too long to promote staff and do not do well in recognising their hardwork.

In Nielsen, you can be you
The good thingsEnvironment is light and fun despite challenging work. But learning is guaranteed, as well career growth based on performance, not tenure.
The challengesIn any company, there are always challenges. But in Nielsen, you are empowered to resolve issues.

good pay but minimal training and development
The good thingsWork schedule is very flexible. The company provides generous bonuses and salaries are never late. Pay is average and evaluated annually. Salary increases are based on merit. Performance evaluation is efficient and done periodically.
The challengesTraining is not available across all functions. Most of the available trainings are for a particular department only with only minimal trainings available for operations teams. Promotion is slow and sometimes takes as long as 4 or 5 years. Organizational structure keeps changing and there is always a lack in personnel due to high turnover of employees.

    Working at a Research Company
The good thingsBeing a data acquisition officer in a research company offers me new knowledge on different products offered to the market and as well as social behaviors in different areas. I was able to travel and see different places also while working at the same time. The management also offers different training and personal development programs for their staffs. Indeed, I never regret working with Nielsen.
The challengesChallenges are always present. Truly, you will never be bored.
