Good people, pay could be better
The good thingsI saw a number of one star reviews and thought I should write this. I have not experienced all the negative treatment alleged in the other reviews. However, I do not work closely with the management. Nevertheless, the company has staff who has worked for them for upwards of 5 years. So it can't be that bad lah. The colleagues are nice, cooperative and professional. The job scope for me is reasonable. The management is not a stickler for age and experience. They are willing to promote and give a higher salary to young and capable people who can take on extra workload.
The challengesYou need to have good PR if you are working closely with the bosses. And you need to think on the spot. You must be willing to work overtime when required. This is also the same in other publishing houses that I have worked at because of the deadlines and (expected) delays from various parties. For me personally, I wish the pay could be higher. But my position is quite junior so too bad.

My job experience in the company
The good thingsall stuff being delegated to you, hence high growth learning curve
The challengesyou will have to hands on for all the delegated stuff, management also has rigid thinking and dont care attitude, working in different time zone and only expect a good result being delivered. wish u good luck

    No work life balance
    The good thingsGreat colleagues! Pantry
The challengesThere is no work life balance. Please be prepared to work more than the 9-6pm working hours. Management will still get in touch and expect a response as they are not based in Singapore. As we are working in 2 different time zones, “please cooperate and work together”.

    For your own well being
The good thingsGood food and good location
The challengesFor the sake of your mental health, do not join this Company. By far, the worst and most toxic management I have ever came across in my career.

    Management oversteps working boundaries
The good thingsGood location and colleagues.
The challengesBad leadership in management, unprofessional. Always rushing employees back to work on weekend to ship out products for their own personal business. Products for their businesses based on personal favours. Work only revolves when they feel like working, work that are clearly not the listed in job scope being issued every other day.

    Lack of foresight and development
    The good thingsColleagues and location
The challengesAlthough commonly found in most organisations, tasks assigned was out of our job scope. Tasks were also delegated in crunch periods of the pipeline, forcing employees to work around the clock for the management (where it should be their call of duty to handle some of the tasks pushed to us). Clearly no forecast, foresight and future here.

    For a better work environment.
The good thingspleasant colleagues to work with.
The challengesThe company should try to minimize those last min planning and expecting employees to perform a miracle. I sincerely hope that the company will groom managers who are leaders, understand the needs of their team, and most importantly to give a clear direction to follow. I believe that leaders should not be self-absorb and bossy. The company should create more opportunities for career development but I would feel that this is impossible. I feel that this organization lacks structure, and that the opinions of the employees are not appreciated.
