Founded in 1970, the Singapore-China Business Association (SCBA) has around 500 corporate members. Over the years, it has been heavily involved in various trading activities between Singapore and China.The scope of SCBA is wide, having grown beyond the traditional merchandise trade. Since the opening up and reform of China, and as the Singapore-China bilateral ties strengthen, the economy and trade relations have become increasingly developed. As such, more and more Singaporean business enterprises have engaged China, such as in the manufacturing and transportation industries, the services industry (encompassing travel, legal services, financial and enterprise management), and real estate and infrastructure developments. With these business enterprises having joined SCBA, the significance of the Association is further strengthened.
