This is the most toxic place I have ever worked for. The good thingsUnfortunately, my experience with this club has not yielded any particularly positive aspects worth highlighting.
The challenges- toxic environment (lots of politics) - management does not take care of its staff; you have to fend for yourself - lots of favouritism shown by management (you have to really disregard all your self-worth); management does things based on emotion. - there is no staff welfare at all - management caters to every whim and fancy of members, whether they are right or not - staff have to be involved in sub-committee meetings that are made up of members. This results in many differing views, and management just expects staff to accede to unreasonable requests, even if it's more work that ends up making things worse. - IT hardware and software are ancient, and there's no support internally or externally - processes are so manual that simple tasks can take up so much of your time - don't bother joining if you want to learn anything; there's no value added - forget about bonuses or increments - if I could give this place a negative rating, I would - staff are not allowed to use the facilities - be prepared to help out (forced) during some events, especially on weekends - feeder bus is very infrequent - location not very accessible (can't go out for lunch easily)
