    In 2021, the SSO clinched third place in the prestigious Orchestra of the Year Award by Gramophone. In 2022, BBC Music Magazine named the SSO as one of the best orchestras in the world. In 2023, SSO's album Herrman Suite from Wuthering Heights / Echoes for Strings debuted No. 5 on the UK Official Specialist Classical Charts.
