    Great sporting culture!
The good thingsSporting and cohesive culture. Friendly colleagues. Alot of cross projects with various people in different departments. Opportunities to try other areas of work and learn new things- e.g. with the sporting events organised. Management can be informal and casual too.
The challengesHR policies are rigid, not much support and not helpful. Too many dead weight employees in the company. Lack innovation. High number of incapable leaders rise to the position. Management can be very authoritative. Work load can be intense and employees may be thrown to do alot of unrelated adhoc work just to show 'visibility' to management. Organisation is losing a number of capable employees due to the processes.

Poor management and no work life balance
The good thingsSports attire was good and easy. Of course personally if you are having external meetings, it would be polite to dress up.
The challengesAs much as the public service promotes work life balance, it does not apply here. Weekends are frequently disturbed by the management with constant hounding by your bosses. Quite a pain to be working here. Senior management changes decisions faster than a flip of a coin. HR as usual, alway trying to play down your pay..

Wow. Lot to learn and so excitng
The good thingsThe passion and commitment from all level. The sincerity and belief that sport can be a platform to bring a nation together. Being active and living better through sports. The sense of achievement and belonging after each event bring the team together and stronger for the next challenge.
The challengesI cant find anything that the current company needs to improve. The spirit and culture are so strong - unbelievable that offer such experiences.

No support & guidance from Superior
The good thingsIf you like sports , you'll like the enviroment.
The challengesDept head and colleague does not show support and guidance to new comers. They like to make assumption and there's no proper communication. As a result, there's high turn over rate.

Strong Sporting Culture, Good Learning Ground for Freshgrad, Ideal for Mid-career switch.
The good things- Strong advocate for sporting culture (talk + real action) - Easy on dress code - Standard govt job compensation & Benefits - convenient work location for HQ (right beside Stadium MRT Station) - Fast progression for good performing staff - Friendly colleagues - Lots of learning opportunities esp for young, freshgrad - work-life balance quite ok for most team, sadly not my team.
The challenges- pay growth not competitive, even w promotion (HR tries to mask this by telling staff to focus on annual package, but they forgot tt calculation of annual package is based on the monthly base salary), not ideal to stay too long esp for freshgrad. - Perpetual peak period all year round except for Dec (Snr Mgt are very driven to achieve a lot) - limited job rotation opportunity - negligible training opportunity (very odd for public agency) - Standard govt red tape in policies and processes - Snr Mgt are constantly driving all staff to achieve more, but unwilling to review processes to empower staff to achieve more.

Refreshing and invigorating environment to work in.
The good thingsWe work as a team towards common goals. The culture here is diverse and a work-life balance is encouraged. Sporting 'days' and learning journeys are often organised and employees have a chance to take a breather.
The challengesCertain events could take or require longer working hours than usual. Major events such as SEA Games could take up a period of your time and you may feel drained. But it is overall an excellent exposure and a learning experience.
