Dont just hire "friends".
Poor communication between manager and teams.
Listen to your employees and practice what you preach.
The wall at reception states "we care" but you clearly don't.
Stop the promoting of unskilled people and rather spend some more money in getting the right person for the job.

The good thingsExposure to different types of projects. The staffs are good people to work with but the management has no experience in managing us.
The challengesCommunication barrier between staff and management. Learning and development quality is poor. No standard procedure of documentations. No subject mattered engineers to relate to. No opportunities for career development. No benefits at all other than the normal annual leave and medical benefits.
