Was good, but no longer the case
The good thingsWas able to learn the best of Toyota culture before it has gone totally down the drain
The challengesThe top management team has gone localized and the good culture from Japan TMC has eroded. It has become the worst of both top down and result driven culture. There is a recent mass exodus with around 10% to 20% personnel leaving with average 5 to 20 years of service

The challengesThe company has helped me to grow professionally by the task given in which your educational experiences will be use. I can say that this company has a lot of opportunities for us to experience challenges in life.

It is great to gain a lot of experience and teamwork with all members
The good thingsHave an Union that can help you with your bonus, wage, allowance, and insurance that can cover you. Teamwork within employer and employee that are great. Gaining a lot of training and helps you to be a great future leader. Safety, Quality and Cost are the main core in the company. Doing Kaizen, Hiyari Hato, Genchi Genbutsu which is the purpose to improve our work (Japanese Working System)
The challengesIncrease the wage according to the work done. Increase more every year salary. Marketing Team must archive their sales target. Management and Union must take an action to makes the worker more better and better. Give more training to all the members to be a good leaders.

    Good Experience
The good thingsYoung vibrant environment. Lots of fun activities through out the year. Nice office with decent pantry. Definitely a good learning experience despite the pay.
The challengesPay grade is really too low, and this is a typical Japan company - takes huge pride in punctuality.

Great place to train and develop meticulous working style and good ethics.
The good thingsGreat healthcare benefits, OT claims and above average bonus payout. Company takes care of employee and do not retrench even on bad times, and has strong history & many working principles developed over the course of years. Opportunities to travel and work on overseas business trips, get exposed and build on networking with staffs from different countries.
The challengesVery top down approach management, way of working has too many layers of consensus building. The time taken for critical decision making maybe too much, results in slow reaction. Company needs to change its mindset when problem arises, instead of focusing to generate root cause analysis, it should focus on resolving problem first then set up countermeasures. Company needs to be less stringent on variables that are least value add to big picture process.
