A Learning ExperienceThe good thingsUgene Lab was the first time I fully committed to a job for a period of time, and I personally found the place to be really nurturing. The supervisors, while strict, are approachable: all you have to do is to be sincere and responsible as well. I have learnt a lot from them in my time here, and highly recommend it to any intern willing to push their limits.
The challengesThe working hours are really long, and self-imposed overtime seems to be part of the company's culture even though it is not actively enforced. I would recommend discussing this during the employment process if this is an issue for you, especially if you plan to stay long term.
