What’s it like working at UPS?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at UPS appreciate the strong teamwork and camaraderie among colleagues, as well as the good healthcare benefits, bonuses, and other welfare offerings provided by the company. The internal training and opportunities for self-development, along with the company's extensive global network coverage, are also seen as positive aspects.

However, there are some potential areas for improvement. Some employees feel that career advancement is heavily dependent on one's immediate manager, and that upper management may not always be receptive to feedback. A number of reviewers mentioned high workloads, long working hours, and stress, particularly in certain roles such as sales and during peak periods. There are indications that some systems and processes could be improved, such as collaboration between departments and on-the-job training. Additionally, some employees feel that compensation, particularly for non-university graduates, could be more competitive.

    Terrible deluded country level management
The good thingsyour colleagues and team - very strong camaraderie
The challengeseverything, the management who are constantly deluded or deny the realities of job challenges, even prevents you from bringing it up to higher management in the regional level. As a sales person from inside sales, outdoor sales and all the way up to enterprise sales, you'd have to take on the barrage of customer service, invoicing and brokerage screw ups every day. Expect to work till 11 or 12midnight clearing up the mess or lack of work from the outsourced departments mentioned above.
