How to become a Business Development Manager
To work as a Business Development Manager, formal education is required.

Graduate with a bachelor degree in business, finance, or another related field.

Gain three to five years’ worth of experience in business development. A proven track record in driving sales is advantageous. Business Development Managers often start out as Business Development Executives, but Business Analysts, Administrative Officers, and Junior Relationship Officers are also common starting paths.

Develop your leadership and management skills. A Business Development Manager can eventually progress to a senior-level position such as Project Manager, Business Development Director, and Vice President in Business Development.
