What's it like to be a Medical Representative?
A Medical Representative acts as a pharmaceutical company’s face to customers, acting as the liaison between companies and their potential clients, such as doctors or pharmacists. They spend most of their days travelling and speaking to healthcare professionals in order to promote and sell a company’s products. Medical Representatives also conduct demonstrations and training sessions in order to demonstrate the proper operation of these products, such as medical devices. The job is all about building relationships with both existing and potential clients.

How to become a Medical Representative
To become a Medical Representative you usually need a bachelor degree in biotechnology, medical technology, life science, pharmacy, or another related field.

Graduate with a bachelor degree in biotechnology, medical technology, life science, pharmacy, or another relevant field. A business-related degree may also be considered.

Gain one to three years’ worth of experience in the healthcare industry or in a B2C (Business-To-Consumer) and/or B2B (Business-To-Business) role.

Secure a valid Class 3 driver’s license.
