What's it like to be a Property Officer?
Property Officers look after buildings and properties to make sure that they are properly maintained. They work with landlords and tenants to make sure the needs of both are met. This can include verifying documents, arranging meetings and maintenance, answering enquiries and conducting site visits.
Tasks and duties
- Facilitating maintenance activities for real estate buildings.
- Handling enquiries as well as complaints and other issues related to properties.
- Communicating building regulations and policies and ensuring compliance.
- Coordinating repairs.
- Performing administrative tasks, such as organising meetings and record keeping.
How to become a Property Officer
Most Property Officers have a bachelor degree in a relevant field. They may also be required to have specific licences or certifications depending on the client or employer.

Complete a bachelor degree in a relevant field. This could include real estate management, business administration or engineering.

Gain experience. You could start with an entry-level administration role in a real estate company to develop industry knowledge.
