What's it like to be a Quality Assurance Executive?
Quality Assurance Executives are responsible for checking and testing a product to ensure it meets quality standards and regulations. Apart from continuous testing and monitoring for quality, they also create systems to be in place in the event of customer complaints or defective/low-quality products. They work in a variety of industries, from food, IT, to insurance, etc.
Tasks and duties
- Documenting quality assurance activities.
- Devising protocols for complaints and product recalls.
- Testing products or services to check for quality and compliance to regulations.
- Reviewing and updating quality assurance standards and materials used for inspections.
- Conducting training sessions for the implementation of quality assurance systems.
- Performing any ad hoc activities as required.
How to become a Quality Assurance Executive
To become a Quality Assurance Executive you need a bachelor degree in a relevant field and some industry experience.

Graduate with a bachelor degree in a relevant field.

Develop proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- 3.
Gain at least five years’ worth of experience in a quality assurance role.
- 4.
Acquire relevant certification (for example in the food industry, a Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate).
- 5.
After gaining experience as a Quality Assurance Executive, consider progressing to a role such as Quality Assurance Manager or Quality Assurance Director.
