Toxic Management Overshadows Everything Else
The good thingsThe pantry lady is truly the heart of the company. She prepares amazing food for staff during daily tea breaks, and her kindness is one of the few bright spots in the workplace.
The challengesUnfortunately, upper management creates a very toxic and demoralizing environment. Staff are often spoken to disrespectfully — being scolded and called demeaning names. There’s a lack of basic respect, and employee feedback is routinely ignored. Management seems to believe they’re always right, with little regard for those actually doing the work.
High salaries are given to newly hired staff who do not generate sales, while other staff are overburdened and often blamed for management’s poor decisions. When things go wrong, employees are made scapegoats and dismissed unfairly. It appears terminations are used to cover up internal mismanagement.
Advice to Management:
Start treating your staff with dignity and respect. Listen to their perspectives and value their contributions. A company cannot grow if it continuously demoralizes the very people keeping it running.

A highly rewarding internship
The good thingsWhen i first joined, the people around me were all very warm and friendly which made me feel really welcomed. I am also immensely thankful that my mentor was very patient and caring. She never failed to help me when i was struggling during the beginning. Under her careful guidance, i have certainly picked up new skills and knowledge which made my internship here extremely fruitful. In addition, the experience and insights i have gained while working here are truly invaluable and would definitely be useful in my future. From the start till the end, it is without a doubt that my internship here has been nothing short of a positive and wonderful experience.
The challengesA thing to note could be a slight language barrier which may result in a hindrance in communication between two parties.
