The people pretending will always get promoted while the one suffering below will always be ignored. A good place to start but once you gain experience, need to move on. Senior management always preaches about making AWWA a good place for employees, and middle managers will always be micro-managing on all the nitty gritty issues to the point of nit-picking.
The good thingswork-life balance and the benefits.
The challengesYou will be loaded and 'arrowed' to do many unnecessary things not listed in your JD but on the pretext that you are contributing to the organization. Politics at site and HQ are existent but higher management is turning a blind eye. Always championing for a holistic and inclusive working experience for staffs but senior management is too far sighted and always asking staffs to step up to fill the gaps.

Stay aware, you have been warned.
The good thingsHonestly, I can't find anything positive here.
The challengesThere is consistently high turnover across all departments at our headquarters (Corporate Services - Finance, Procurement, HR, etc.). The work environment is toxic, characterized by middle and top management who either lack direction or disregard it altogether. Faced with heavy workloads, chaotic processes, and encounter unfriendly colleagues who pass work between departments. Consequently, tasks seem endless and completion feels elusive in this environment..

A place to start off but will not be the ideal place to hang on to
The good thingspeople are generally nice & friendly, workload is reasonable from the start, you will grow to love the colleagues & students.
The challengesA more sincere approach towards staff engagement will do wonders in retaining capable talents, benefitting the students in the long run.
