This place will make you cry or laugh.
The good thingsThere are some genuinely helpful and nice colleagues who are willing to go out of their way to make things work.
The challengesWork life balance varies by Department - certain departments, especially front-facing ones, will be favored, with sufficient headcount and flexible timing, at the discretion of their HODs. Some departments are clearly suffering with stagnant positions, lowballed pay and limited headcount, requiring constant OT work and making them feel underappreciated and undervalued. There are politics amongst the heads of departments themselves - a clear need for a management overhaul, especially culture-wise. Management provides clear & anonymous channels for staff members to voice their displeasures and concerns and will take the time to dismiss these same concerns. There are no clear-cut roles and job scopes leading many to question what colleagues are actually doing or are busy with, especially in an environment where many people work from home/different locations with flexible timing, eventually leading to distrust amongst colleagues and departments.

Do not join unless ok with floating and not learning anything
The good thingsThere are some nice colleagues who are actually there to work
The challengesThe entire top management and half of management team needs to be changed out… lack of leadership & capability, zero industry experience as big bosses all from Mindef/SAF who don’t know what they’re doing, bad work culture & some dinosaurs/bullies being territorial playing politics to keep their jobs because they cannot work, & toxic behaviours all start from there. This company is a waste of taxpayers money

Can be a great experience for new graduates who can deal with noise but also great for floaters.
The good thingsLack of structured change management system and escalation (for the better or worse). That can be risky, but it also means you’re free to experiment and figure things out on your own. It feels more like a training ground than a mature environment. Good if you’re highly independent and comfortable learning through trial and error.
The challengesIf you value technical growth and a focused work environment, this place might feel a bit distracting. There’s quite a bit of office politics, gossip, and “wayang” culture, which can make it hard to stay motivated. No work life balance, varies by department. There are initiatives to improve things, but the knowledge base is poor, so getting into gear at the start can be rough.
