Progression is slow, and promotions tend to be based on favoritism rather than actual work performance.
The good thingsSome of the bad management left. Praise the Lord!
The challengesCertain favored staff are given leniency despite underperformance and may even receive accelerated promotions. Additionally, some leaders are seen as temperamental, which contributes to a sense of unfairness in the workplace.

    Messy and bad staff management
The good thingsGood if you are a social worker here. Good benefit.
The challengesNovice leaders frequently alter processes without thoroughly assessing the repercussions or grasping the entire situation, leading to adverse downstream effects. Despite their status as newcomers to the department, they often disregard advice from experienced individuals. Their desire for improvement often wavers, as they tend to revert to previous methods when incorrect decisions are made. Highly focused on KPIs and figures, prioritizing profit and loss without success in experimenting with ineffective strategies. While advocating for work-life balance, they anticipate staff to work late into the night and even during non-working hours and days.

Not worth working here for the experience
The good thingsLots of opportunities for learning. Team bonding (depends on team) Good community services.
The challengesThe above are double edged swords. So working well with the team will cause your manager to be wary that you are in cahoots against them. Lots of opportunities to learn also mean that they expect to learn things that had no link to your role. Having good community services also means that many atimes, you are holding 2 or more portfolio for work. There is not work life balance. Managers do not know what to do but they expect you to know.
