    Great benefits, poor HR
The good thingsFull time staffs enjoy better than average medical benefits. Bosses are very flexible (good and bad).
The challengesMost managerial roles are "reserved" for ex-seafarers. Locals, regardless of qualifications, will have a very hard time with career progression. Every now and then the company brings a seafarer to the office for secondment and later gives a permanent managerial role. HR must improve. For most issues, they will tell you this is how it works but please check with your direct manager for advice.
