Inspired by artisan bakers, The Bread Table brings this tradition of superb bread making to Singapore, in celebration of community and the gift of life.The team at The Bread Table comprises distinguished professionals who were trained at renowned institutions, including New York’s French Culinary Institute and established bakeries in Singapore.Every morning, using traditional bread making techniques, natural fermentation processes and the freshest of ingredients, our bread masters create some of the finest classic French breads, traditional Italian breads, rustic German breads and other fine European breads.The Bread Table is started by Joseph Lee, an ex IT-exec with 22 years’ working experience in sales and marketing. Joseph has helped leading MNCs to expand sales, develop new markets and grow their bands across Asia Pacific region. In 2011, Joseph Lee received his Diploma in International Bread Baking with the French Culinary Institute in New York.Upon his return from New York, of which he has lived and worked for seven years in the early 90s, Joseph spent the next one year developing and improving on his recipes to create a full range of artisan breads that strike a balance between heavier textures of traditional European loaves and the softer and moist bread preferred by the market. On 2013, Joseph brought on board a strong team of bakers and opened The Bread Table in July 2013.Within two months into the business, The Bread Table was making marks in the industry. It was featured on Business Times (2 Aug 2013) and 8 days (12 Aug 2013) and Sunday Times (8th Sept 2013). Within 6 months, we are ready for expansion to another bakery outlet.
