Established in 2000, founded by Mr Tan Eng Beng, World Auto had a history of more than 20 years. The company started as Poly Spray Painting, set up in 1984 under the leadership of Mr Tan Eng Beng for 8 years. In 1992, Mr Tan co-op with his brothers and set up Auto Hitech in 1993 as car maintenance, accident repairs and spray painting.In 1999 end, World Auto was then born and its operations began at 55 Jalan Pemimpin. A branch was also set up in Eunos as a spray paint and repair branch. In year 2000, World Auto was the authorised service, repair and pre-delivery maintenance centre for Komoco Motors Pte Ltd (Hyundai) and Advance Automobile (Pte) Ltd (Citroen), authorised repair and spray paint centre for Mazda Motor (Singapore) Pte Ltd and also the appointed repair and spray-painting centre for Chrysler Jeep Automotive of Singapore Pte Ltd. Besides that, World Auto was appointed as the authorised repair workshop for motor accident claims for Lonpac Insurance Berhad. In 2006, World Auto obtained her rights as an authorised service centre and recall repair workshop for Hup Long Automobile Pte Ltd (PI).World Auto Pte Ltd had just moved back to Jalan Pemimpin in July 2009, located at No.47, obtaining her exclusive rights to be Federal Express (Singapore) Pte Ltd appointed service and repair centre in October 2009, and maintaining a fleet of over 150 commercial vehicles.
