How to become a Teacher's Aide
You can become a Teacher Aide with a GCE N-Level, but employers may prefer candidates with a NITEC. Prior experience is also a bonus.
- 1.Complete your GCE N-Level or accomplish a NITEC.
- 2.Supplement your experience with relevant certifications, such as the Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE), Teaching Assistant Certification, or the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY).
- 3.Depending on your employer, you may also need to take extra courses like the ones offered by the Dyslexia Association of Singapore.
- 4.Consider earning your Bachelors Degree and finishing your teacher certification examinations to become a full-fledged educator.
