    The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is a registered animal welfare charity with IPC status.The SPCA is not a government agency. We rely on donations from our supporters to continue our important role as animal protector.We receive around 400 pets and stray animals every month. This figure includes lost dogs which are all checked for microchips and advertised in the press in an effort to locate their owners.ObjectivesThe objectives of the Society are to prevent cruelty to animals and birds and to promote kindness to animals and birds.VisionA compassionate Singapore where all animals are treated with kindness and respect.MissionTo promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals through education, advocacy and action.AmbitionTo be the leading authority and advocate on animal welfare and cruelty issues in Singapore.The Society provides various animal welfare services to the community including:A 24-hour emergency service for sick, injured and very young animalsInvestigation of cruelty complaintsPublic education programme for students and adultsSterilisation voucher programme for community animals (strays)A clinic for basic treatment of community animalsAdoption programmeA service for lost and found petsAdvocacy for the humane treatment of animalsRunning an animal shelter and supporting quarantine for unwanted, abused and abandoned animals

    The good thingsTry new things, play with stray animals.
    The challengesSalary is VERY low. Location is VERY far. Managers are paid well, but regular staff get the lowest grades. Hence cheapest salary range.
