Tasks and duties
- Interacting with customers to handle complaints and provide information about products or services.
- Keeping records of customer interactions, orders and complaints.
- Solving any customer issues and ensuring satisfaction.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments to resolve problems.
- Processing orders, forms, applications and requests.
- Using telephones, computers and other relevant technology to communicate with customers.
- Promoting and upselling a company's services or products to customers.
How to become a Customer Service Assistant
Completing your secondary education or the equivalent could be the starting point to becoming a Customer Service Assistant. However, a diploma or degree in a Sales-related field and practical experience could help you progress in this career.
- 1.You need at least a GCE O-Level to become a Customer Service Assistant. However, employers may prefer someone with a degree or diploma in Communication, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or any other industry-related field.
