Abercrombie & Fitch began as a small specialty shop in New York City, providing the highest quality outdoor apparel, camping, fishing and hunting gear. Today, the brand continues to uphold its reputation for quality apparel, but has since evolved into a destination for casual, classic, and trend right clothing. Our East Coast roots, and Ivy League heritage provide inspiration for our youthful All-American lifestyle. The unique store experience is unmatched; our store models are the best looking and are featured in our iconic marketing. Abercrombie & Fitch is idolized and always cool.

What’s it like working at Abercrombie & Fitch?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Abercrombie & Fitch appreciate the flexible working hours, which allow them to balance work and other commitments. The fun and pleasant work environment, with colleagues of similar ages, fosters good teamwork and a nice attitude towards customers. Employees have the opportunity to learn a lot of skills on the job, and diversity is highlighted as a positive aspect.

However, as a retail job, working at Abercrombie & Fitch requires commitment on weekends and public holidays. Some employees feel that the hourly rate could be better, considering the range of tasks they have to perform. There is a need for more standardisation in the approach and standards across part-time employees and full-time managers. Employees are expected to pay close attention to details in their work, and may face challenges in completing jobs on time, with limited support for difficult issues.

    A Rollercoaster
The good thingsFlexible working hours so I was able to work and school at the same time. Employee turnover is high as employment is largely part-time and seasonal, so I was able to meet a lot of young adults from different backgrounds. I learnt a lot from their experiences.
The challengesThe hourly rate could certainly be better for the range of tasks I had to do. More could be done to standardise the approach and standards across part-time employees and full-time managers.
