What’s it like working at BGIS?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at BGIS appreciate the friendly and supportive team environment, with colleagues who are welcoming, helpful, and collaborative. The company provides well-structured training opportunities with a strong focus on safety, helping employees develop their skills and grow in their roles. Management is generally supportive, offering autonomy to run schedules without micromanagement. Employees also value the variety of projects and work available, which keeps their days interesting whilst providing opportunities for career growth, all within a professional environment that emphasises safety, compliance, and structured processes.

However, there are some areas for potential improvement. IT access and systems can be slow during onboarding, and some systems are outdated and don't integrate well with each other. Communication across teams and from management could be enhanced, particularly regarding new works, contracts, and internal processes. The onboarding process can involve information overload, and employees have suggested a more streamlined approach would be beneficial. Additionally, internal processes and workflows could be more efficient to improve productivity, and workload pressure can occur during peak periods when managing multiple stakeholders and deliverables simultaneously.

I wouldn't recommend this company. Low pay, toxic, and unhelpful office staffs
The good thingsWorking with some helpful colleagues to help with the software. More helpful than the managers and office support. Great Van.
The challengesDealing with aggressive clients on the job and trying to stay calm when trying to get the job done. Dealing with office support that isn't supportive at all and creates more problems, like avoiding you when you ask for help, such as fixing the software issues. Lack of training with a software that I was unfamiliar with in the first week, creating more problems that could have been avoided, and finding the office staff are very unhelpful. Only able to get help from experienced colleagues and a supervisor.
