Hi all, I’m a fresh grad who just stepped into the banking world and feeling a little lost. I’m weighing my options between being a client-facing Relationship Manager or working in the back-end office. I know both roles have their pros and cons, but which one actually leads to better career growth or long-term stability in Singapore’s banking industry? Anyone here who’s been in either path—mind sharing your experience? I’d really appreciate any advice from industry folks!

I chose back office because I prefer structured work and less pressure. It’s not as fast-paced as RM roles, but there’s long-term stability and growth if you specialize, think compliance, risk, or ops transformation. Depends on your personality and goals! :)
