Recently was offered a fast food delivery driver job. Something new for me to explore. I wanted to do it for the sake of getting extra pay and plus, I loved going outside on a drive and enjoying time to myself. I'm worried about not doing a good job right from the start.. Do food delivery jobs track speed a lot? If I’m slow, could I get in trouble or fired? Just wondering what to expect. Thanks to anyone who responds!

I heard being a rider can also cause many stress. the pressure of sending out food on time and dealing with traffic can be exhausting. Some days, I feel if i were in their shoes... i dont think i can take it and do it for rest of my day. How do you all manage the struggles while still keeping doing it everyday?

Driving/riding for a living seems flexible, but some days really make me question if it’s worth it. Heavy rain, rude customers, endless traffic jams etc. By the time I factor in fuel, maintenance, and the occasional parking/summons, my earnings barely cover the stress. And now, with so many new riders flooding the market, competition gets tougher. Some days, the orders r just not enough & the fares so low it doesn’t even feel worth it. How do you guys maximize earnings without burning out?

SG riders and drivers—how are you all surviving with these crazy petrol prices and platform commission cuts? 😩 The money used to be good, but now, some days aren’t even worth going out. And don’t get me started on unreasonable customers who expect 5-star service for peanuts. For those still doing this full-time, what’s the best way to maximize earnings?
