35, jobless, broke (literally only $500 in my account) & still living with my parents. Am i a failure? Got retrenched last year and haven’t been able to land anything since. Is it age factor? IDK. My savings almost gone while most of my friends are either getting married, buying houses, or climbing career ladders but I'm stuck in a loop of rejection emails with zero motivation. I feel like I’ve failed in every way possible & it's so late to start over again. IDK what else to do. Any advice?

Would you say YES to a counter offer? My boss is offering to match my salary to the new job offer > 35% increment but my position remains the same, no add-on to the existing company benefits. But the new job offer will give me MANAGER title & slightly better benefits. What I like about my current company is Boss will allow WFH/take MC if needed, no question ask but career growth is very slow. I like the leniency + not ready to take more responsibilities but long-term wise, I'm not sure. WDYT?

Been at this company for over a year, and it’s been nothing but frustration. I suggested a process improvement, thinking I was being helpful, but my manager accused me of "challenging authority" & "talking back." I was pulled off the project and told my "performance" was lacking, with no clear feedback. When asked, my manager just said team "not happy with my attitude." Now I’m sidelined with no work, and HR’s ignoring me. Seriously considering moving on. Anyone else dealt with this nonsense?

Got laid off after taking long MC. How can i fight this?? I was on medical leave for a while (2 months) due to health issues. Came back thinking I could ease back into work but instead, I was told I’m being let go. Boss claims it’s “company restructuring,” but the timing feels way too suspicious. I can’t help but feel my MC played a part in this. Can I report it to MOM? How do I even prove they fired me because of my medical leave? Honestly, I’m too shocked and devastated right now😢

Feeling absolutely drained every.single.day. Ever since I joined this company, it’s been non-stop stress. Boss wants to be CC-ed in every email & questions every word. We've to submit daily progress reports even if there’s nothing urgent. I also have back-to-back Zooms from 9am-9pm, with barely any breaks. We're not allowed to excuse ourselves (from meetings) even after working hours. I’m seriously exhausted. What should I do? I’m only a few months in and already feel like I’m burning out.

35F, married with a kid. Since becoming a mother, my priorities have changed but my colleagues don’t seem to get it. They still expect me to work late, reply at night, & spend weekends on tasks like I have ZERO responsibilities at home. Even when I take leave to care for my child, work keeps coming in non-stop. I want to set boundaries, but IDK how to. Partially I'm to be blamed because I've always been a workaholic. But now it's different. How do i tell them to respect my time & space?

joined a company 2 - 3 weeks ago and im regretting. hr micro manages like crazy, reprimands on the everything even the smallest thing and is very condescending towards me. tbh, i saw the hr as a red flag during the interview but i just took up the job so that i can pay my bills etc IM SO REGRETTING IT NOW BCOS I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH HER BS

Hi everyone, I was laid off a year ago at 34. Since then, I’ve attended over 40 admin job interviews with no offers. I also applied for HR roles but wasn’t shortlisted. I’ve worked mainly in admin and completed a HR certificate. I’m unsure what to improve next. If I continue in admin or shift into HR-admin, what highest roles, skills, or part-time courses should I pursue? Also, how have others navigated career changes after 35?
