Sometimes I wonder if it's just how things are in Singapore where people with stable jobs are celebrated, and those like me - freelancers/part-timers are seen as “wasting time” and often look down on. My brother has a great corporate job. Me on the other hand enjoy the freedom & flexibility with no one to answer to. But my family thinks I'm a disappointment at 26 years old, with no future ahead. Am I really wrong for wanting something different? Why can't we just respect all kinds of jobs?

It's only been 3 months since I join this company but I can't tahan being "used" by others and feel like I wanna quit my job. Can safely say I experience "extreme" culture shock here. Everyday I rush to deliver tasks bcz I'm helping 3 seniors, with tons of backlogs and I don't even learn anything new. I work like admin + assistant, instead of my original role. I only do stuff that's already been done by others, not contributing new ideas or anything exciting. This is not what I sign up for ☹️

Fresh grad here and this is my 1st full-time job. I’m an introverted, so I usually keep to myself & try to settle things on my own. But lately, I notice my boss been giving me silent treatment, and my colleagues have started to avoid me too. I feel like they’re indirectly asking me to quit. My boss says my work isn’t up to standard and that she’s given me “many chances.” I honestly don’t know how to fix myself. I don’t want to lose this job, but whatever I do is always wrong. Help me pls!!

But I bring real work ethic, experience, and a willingness to grow. I complete my tasks, stay learning, and always show up. I’m not here to impress — I’m here to grow. I've been in the healthcare industry for 15 years. Recently, my role shifted from a team-based setup to a solo position due to job rotations. The workload has increased significantly, and after 7 months, I’m still finding it tough to manage alone. While my colleagues are supportive, handling client demands without a team has been challenging. At 45, I know job hunting isn’t easy, but I’m starting to wonder if it’s time to seek a better fit — or keep pushing through. Still weighing my options.

35, jobless, broke (literally only $500 in my account) & still living with my parents. Am i a failure? Got retrenched last year and haven’t been able to land anything since. Is it age factor? IDK. My savings almost gone while most of my friends are either getting married, buying houses, or climbing career ladders but I'm stuck in a loop of rejection emails with zero motivation. I feel like I’ve failed in every way possible & it's so late to start over again. IDK what else to do. Any advice?

Been at this company for over a year, and it’s been nothing but frustration. I suggested a process improvement, thinking I was being helpful, but my manager accused me of "challenging authority" & "talking back." I was pulled off the project and told my "performance" was lacking, with no clear feedback. When asked, my manager just said team "not happy with my attitude." Now I’m sidelined with no work, and HR’s ignoring me. Seriously considering moving on. Anyone else dealt with this nonsense?
