Considering everything is getting more expensive now due to whatever that's going on (urrgghh), I'm thinking of moving to JB but commuting daily to SG to work. Is this a wise decision or nah? Currently I'm working hybrid, only 2x at the office so I don't need to spend a lot for travelling. Food is definitely cheaper in JB and groceries too. I can rent a whole condo for the same price of a small room in Jurong. Family-wise, I don't need to see them often so that's a blessing. So, yes or no?

I just started at this new company about 2 months ago. I've never taken any MC/AL because I'm still under probation. But this week, I had a terrible stomach ache on Monday morning. Went to the loo countless times so I texted my boss telling her that I'm going to get an MC. Surprisingly, she got super angry and she said NOBODY should take MC on Monday. It's just an unspoken rule in the working world. Question: Is it true? Second, should I resign before I got confirmed next month?

recently I was employed in a company. I asked the hr about the terms and condition when resigned. The hr claimed that i was rushing her and have thousands of staff 200 staffs to handle. She complained that im being rude for no reasons.. there was a techincal glitch at the attendance issues and i needed help immediately nobody answer nobody responded after 3 days..said that I rush them and asked to apologie.. i just Said hello.. hello.. u there. now what should i do

In my company, it’s common for my boss and teammates to message after work hours and expect a fast reply. At first I could tolerate it, but now I get super anxious every time I see their texts. I’m thinking of getting a separate phone just for work so I can switch it off after hours and finally rest. I want better mental boundaries, but with appraisal season coming up, I’m scared it might look bad. Anyone tried this or found a better way to set boundaries without hurting your yearly review?

Is it common to get ignored and excluded from team's meeting when you've already tendered your resignation? I didn't do this willingly but I was forced to submit it after a project failed and my boss put the blame entirely on me. I thought if I resigned, everybody will be happy and not treat me like a stranger. After all, I was thrown under the bus for them! All I'm asking is just a friendship that would last even after I don't work here anymore. Is it too much to ask? Why are they so mean??

This is a job confession. I’m low-key envious of my cousin. He’s only a bus driver, a job that many in SG would look down on yet he earns a solid income, has great work-life balance, and actually enjoys what he does. Our family & people around him find it odd because he’s smart, has a degree, but he’s happier than most of us who stuck working in offices. Meanwhile, I got a “respectable” job but chained to my desk, stressed out & wondering if this so-called "prestige" is really worth it. ☹️
