Genuinely asking, can a resume be TOO perfect? 🤔 I once crafted mine like a well-oiled machine, but then I got feedback saying it felt ‘too polished’ and not authentic enough. They actually thought I asked chatgpt to write mine! I was honestly shocked but a bit proud as well haha. But really, shouldn't resume be a flawless work, or should it have a little bit of personality and "mistakes" to stand out from the crowd? 🤷‍♀️ How do you balance the line between professional and being yourself?

I've been eyeing my dream job for a while now, and I’m finally ready to apply. The only problem? I’m unsure whether I should submit a cover letter along with my resume or not. I’ve seen their job ads where they don’t explicitly ask for one, but I don’t want to risk missing out on showing my passion for the role. Is applying without a cover letter acceptable nowadays, or does it look incomplete? I want to make the best impression possible, but I’m just not sure what’s expected.

My sister, who has 6 years of working experience, laughed when she saw my 1-page resume. She said it looks empty and makes me seem like I’ve done nothing. ATS shouldn't ever exist 😩 Spent hours tweaking my resume, only for it to get rejected before a human even sees it. Some companies dump a whole dictionary of keywords into job descriptions, and if your CV doesn’t match exactly, bye bye. Like, can’t a real person just scan through first? Not everyone writes their experience the same way. I bet so many solid candidates get ghosted just because some software didn’t like their wording. Anyone cracked the ATS code yet? Need real hacks.
