One of the shittiest feelings is when someone spots ur mistake n their first instinct is to call it out in a group chat instead addressing it privately. Is this normal at work? Personally I'd just fix it n inform that person only. Don't feel the need to blast in a group. But here... almost everyone does this.🙄 Do you think their intention is neutral?

It’s my first time working in a dental clinic. I applied for dentist assistant position but end up im at the counter everyday. Been trying to not working at reception/counter cause tired of people being rude to us who’s working on this position. Well I ended up in this position again.. but do I have the right to talk about it (salary) I was told that after confirmation (3months) they’ll increase it few hundreds. But it’s been my 5th months & still receiving the same amount as before confirmation

What should I do if I wish to report my company enforced us to join religion activities in the company? most of us are really find it annoying but it is compulsory from the management, we come here to work but not to sing Christian songs and listen how good your god is. My HR friend say MOM is unlikely to bother to investigate this kind of thing

I change my job recently but the department i’m currently working for doesn’t really enjoy having a local working with them. I’m usually excluded from conversations and team meetings due to communication barrier. Even made a big fuss for my mistakes even if it’s small or close to none. Being a local in this company really made me doubt the decisions i’ve made. Now i’m weighing my options. See this through or move along to a better opportunity?

I recently started as a contingent employee at a large tech firm, and the onboarding was challenging, leaving me less enthusiastic. Being new to a big organization, I expected an adjustment period, but the resources provided were just links, requiring me to create my own materials. I also received a long task list with little context. 🫠 What’s the best way to handle this? Has anyone else experienced poor onboarding?

I have been working in FnB for quite some time and noticed that this industry is always short of man power. Yet most of the or companies or organisations do not offer OT pay, and we have to do OT. Break time is included, but because of overload works, we have to work through our break time. Due to unable to hit the target, the company is cutting man power, hence reduce part timers. Man are being sacrifice for the sake of the number, that’s why FnB turnover rate is always high and unstable.

Ever made that cringe-worthy joke at work? I’m still cringing over one I made at the office during X-mas party last year after a couple too many drinks... I just wanted to disappear into thin air! 😬 How do you recover when your joke totally flops? Been 1 month+ but whenever my colleague brought it up, i felt so embarrassed. Sometimes i just laugh it off, but when it gets too annoying i just pretend i didn't hear the rest. Honestly, how do i make it stop? It's not funny anymore to make fun of me

Had a well-deserved holiday but man, the vibes at the office? Different. One colleague, in particular, keeps throwing sly comments like, “Wah, must be nice to earn so much can go holiday-holiday.” Bro, I saved, planned, and budgeted for this trip. it’s not like I’m out here flexing. Honestly, it’s tiring dealing with this passive-aggressive energy. Like, how do you even respond to someone who’s low-key mocking you because they couldn’t do the same?

Is it normal for HR to verify MCs? Mine called me out, saying they think I’ve been faking mine, which is super frustrating because my MCs are legit from a certified clinic. Not sure how to convince them without making it worse. Should I offer to provide additional proof, or is this something I should escalate to my boss? Feels like they’re questioning my integrity, and I’m not sure how to handle it. Is it wise to include my boss in the loop?
