It’s so frustrating when I see people copying my artwork and passing it off as their own. It’s happened a few times, and IDK to stop it. I feel powerless, especially since I’m just starting out in the industry. How do I deal with plagiarism when I don’t have the status or resources to really take action? Do I just let it go, or should I push for my work to be credited? I don’t want to be known as “that person” always fighting for recognition, but I also don’t want to be taken advantage of.

Hey guys, I'm 6 months into my new job as a design executive for a marketing brand. And I already feel burnt out. I think it's due to the long hours and overtime. Is it just me, or does every big project somehow end with pulling an all-nighter? I thought leaving art school meant I could finally sleep, but nope. From last-minute client changes to printers messing up, something always derails the timeline. How do you manage your energy during these marathon sessions?

Any reason why many clients insist on using Comic Sans or Papyrus for social design??!? I once had a client who wanted their entire corporate branding in Comic Sans “because it’s friendly.” Man im telling you.. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I spent half an hour to convince them it wasn’t a good idea, but somehow they get butthurt LMAO

i spent days crafting a sleek, modern logo with clean lines, perfect balance. Sent it over, feeling like a design god… only for the client to reply, “Can you make it more colorful and fun?” Bro, what does that even mean?? Can it be more constructive/specific?? In the end, they went with some chaotic rainbow mess. Do you guys still put rejected work in your portfolio? How do you balance making something you love vs. what the client wants? Cos ngl, this one still hurts.

Hi guys. Do galleries typically post job openings, or is it more about reaching out directly? What’s the best way to make a strong application in this field? Would love any advice or tips from those who’ve worked in galleries or know the industry better!

Done few gallery shows in SG. It's great for networking + seeing ur work in a physical space, I feel doing online portfolio gets way more views. But there’s just smthng special abt having ur art in an exhibition. What abt u guys? Do u prefer the physical shows or online/social media are the way forward for artists/designers?

Seeing my illustrations work used in different countries. That's the best part working with big clients. They like your project, got featured commercially. Feel proud of it :) This is how you can build up portfolio when you wanna grow into different places. Wish all the best to my fellow creative people out there! Keep on updating your artwork and put it in your portfolio

Every designer and illustrator has their favorite tool. what other designers out there are using? Personally, I can’t live without my iPad - it's super easy to use. Some of my friends swear by Wacom tablet though. Any idea which is better? Also, do you have a specific tool or software that you’d recommend to anyone in art and design?

Be part of creative team can be fun, but the pay? It’s all over the place. Some months I’m scrambling to find work, and other times, I’m stuck doing unpaid or low-paying gigs just to keep the portfolio going. The inconsistent income is draining. People think it’s all artsy and glamorous, but it’s not easy when you’ve got bills to pay and you’re constantly hustling for the next project. Feels like a never-ending struggle.
