Only the parts that make sense for the role. 2️⃣Then I casually sneak in a personal interest (I use strategy games) to flex soft skills like focus & problem-solving. 3️⃣Keep it under 8 mins and let it flow like a story, not like reciting back my resume. Trust me, once I did this, interviews started feeling like actual conversations🫰

I’m feeling a little demotivated. I’ve been going through multiple interviews, but I still haven’t landed a job offer yet. I’ve attended 4 interviews so far, and each time I get my hopes up, only to face disappointment. Is this normal? How many interviews did you attend before you landed your first job? What really happens if you dress “badly” for an interview? 🤔 I’m genuinely curious. Like if I show up in something super casual, will that ruin my chances completely? Even if I’m well-spoken and have the right skills? I always thought interviews should focus more on what’s in your brain, not what’s on your body. I’m preparing for a big interview, and I’ve been wondering...during interviews in Singapore, is it okay to use some Singaporean slang or is it better to stick to proper English? I mean, sometimes using local terms like "lah" or "lor" feels more natural to me, but I’m worried it might make me come across as unprofessional. Would love to hear your thoughts on whether using our local lingo is acceptable or if it’s better to tone it down and just speak in formal English.

Had a phone interview with HR just now and got totally caught off guard. She asked, “Does your current boss know you’re looking for a job?” Then followed up with, “Why didn’t you tell him? Don’t you feel guilty?” Excuse me?? Since when was job hunting something I needed to report to my boss? Felt like she was trying to guilt-trip me or something. Isn’t it normal to look out for yourself, especially in this economy or am I missing something here? Didn't know HR can be this annoying urrgh!

Had an interview last week, and halfway through I knew the job wasn’t for me. The role wasn’t what I expected, and the way they described about the job scope just felt off. But instead of ending it gracefully, I sat through the whole thing, nodding awkwardly. Lastly they asked me if I had questions, I just said “Thanks, I’ll think about it!” before making my escape. Definitely not the smoothest exit. I didnt practice it well actually but yeah i guess not my loss either

Every time I go into an interview, I’m hit with a wave of self-doubt. Even when I’ve prepared thoroughly, I still feel unsure of myself and worry that it shows. Eventually, it shows. And i failed. sigh. How do I overcome this before the interview or during it? I know it’s important to show confidence, but it’s hard when I’m always second-guessing myself.
