Interview Tips
Had a phone interview with HR just now and got totally caught off guard. She asked, “Does your current boss know you’re looking for a job?” Then followed up with, “Why didn’t you tell him? Don’t you feel guilty?” Excuse me?? Since when was job hunting something I needed to report to my boss? Felt like she was trying to guilt-trip me or something. Isn’t it normal to look out for yourself, especially in this economy or am I missing something here? Didn't know HR can be this annoying urrgh!

Interview Tips
Every time I go into an interview, I’m hit with a wave of self-doubt. Even when I’ve prepared thoroughly, I still feel unsure of myself and worry that it shows. Eventually, it shows. And i failed. sigh. How do I overcome this before the interview or during it? I know it’s important to show confidence, but it’s hard when I’m always second-guessing myself. Any tips for pushing through this self-doubt and doing well in interviews? Really need some advice to help me get over this hurdle!

Interview Tips
Okay, let’s be real, how much do a few wrong answers in an interview actually matter? I had an interview where I stumbled on a couple of technical questions, and now I can’t stop replaying the whole thing in my head. I answered most questions well, but those few mistakes are making me nervous. Do hiring managers look at the overall impression, or are they super strict about each answer? Has anyone ever felt like they bombed an interview but still got the job?

Interview Tips
That moment recruiter asked me that typical “Do you have any questions for me?” at the end of an interview, my mind just goes blank. I know I’m supposed to ask something, but as a fresh grad, I don’t even know what I should be curious about. I don’t want to ask something too basic and look unprepared, but also don’t want to ask something irrelevant and embarrass myself. What are some good questions that actually impress recruiters and show I’m serious about the role?

Interview Tips
Some interviews feel like an interrogation. “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” Bro, I just want a job that pays rent. 😩 Then there are those interviewers who already made up their minds but still waste your time. If you’ve ever had an interview that unexpectedly went well, what did you do differently? Any secret hacks to turn a boring Q&A into a real conversation? And how do you deal with red-flag interviewers without looking like you’re “not a team player”? Sorry, asking too much.

Interview Tips
Had an interview last week, and halfway through I knew the job wasn’t for me. The role wasn’t what I expected, and the way they described about the job scope just felt off. But instead of ending it gracefully, I sat through the whole thing, nodding awkwardly. Lastly they asked me if I had questions, I just said “Thanks, I’ll think about it!” before making my escape. Definitely not the smoothest exit. I didnt practice it well actually but yeah i guess not my loss either

Interview Tips
Job interviews can be a real test of nerves, especially when they hit you with a question you have absolutely no answer to. I’ve been there...sitting across from the interviewer, trying not to panic. I used to think admitting “I don’t know” would make me look bad, but over time, I realized it’s all about how you say it. Instead of freezing up, I try to acknowledge the question, share what I do know, and show how I’d figure it out. Confidence matters more than having all the answers!

Interview Tips
Hi there! I studied Automotive Technology in Malaysia and worked in the same field at one of the most well-known brand workshops in KL. However, I still want to expand my skills and gain more experience in Singapore. But why is it so difficult to find a job in the field I studied for? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

Interview Tips
Just did an online personality test for a job application, and now I’m second-guessing all my answers 😩 More companies in SG are using these to assess culture fit, but how do you “score well” on something SO SUBJECTIVE? Of course, I answered everything but what if my personality results don't fit their criteria? Urrrghh i hate overthinking but it feels like a fine line between being myself and giving the “ideal” response.

Interview Tips
Sending out tons of applications, and some companies call me for interviews, but others reject me almost instantly. I don’t tailor my resume for every job (too mafan), so what makes some companies interested while others don’t even give me a chance? Is it purely luck, or do recruiters look for something specific in my resume? Wish to hear from recruiters POV/experienced interviewers
