How soon do you start grooming your successor? I’ve been in my current leadership role for a while now, and lately I’ve been thinking more seriously about succession planning. I truly believe that a good leader should prepare others to lead too—but I’m torn between investing heavily in one strong potential candidate, or developing a broader pool of people with leadership potential. What’s the best way to go about this in real life? Have you been through it—either as a leader or a successor?

Feel like there isn't enough discussion on negotiating pay at a senior level - it's a whole other ballgame! People imagine you have more leverage at this level but it's not always the case. I’ve been offered a new role, but I’m still unsure on the best way to approach the pay package. Should I prioritse base salary, equity, or other perks like benefits for my family and bonuses? 38F, working as a Regional Manager. I’ve been struggling to work with colleagues from other countries... some don’t do their part properly, and every month I end up chasing deadlines. Communication is unclear, and I end up looking bad even though I’m trying my best to fix things. How do you deal with situations like this? Being a Regional Manager sounds great, but honestly, it’s tough working with colleagues from other countries who don’t do their part properly. I try to stay patient, but it’s frustrating when deadlines are missed and communication is unclear. Then I end up looking bad even though I’m doing my best to fix things. I’m genuinely happy for him, but really, the imposter syndrome is hitting hard. 😩 It’s like, I’m still figuring out how to reply to simple emails without second-guessing myself but my friends are already up there! After grinding it out in corporate for over a decade, I finally took the leap into an entrepreneurial role with flexible hours, and WOW it’s like I’ve got my life back! It was nice to be a boss, but even better to be THE boss 😋 I actually feel excited to work every day with renewed purpose and passion.
