I’m a healthcare worker, and I think I’m burning out. The exhaustion, the stress...it’s not just physical anymore. I’ve been feeling symptoms of depression, but I don’t know how to ask for help. Working in a hospital makes it harder because everyone knows me. What if they judge me? What if it affects my job? I know I need to do something before it gets worse, but I don’t know where to start. How do you ask for help without feeling ashamed?

As a healthcare worker, I’ve been thinking about taking a break for a year or two to recharge. But I’m worried. Will it be hard to return to work after such a long break? I know the field evolves fast, and I’m concerned that I might fall behind in terms of skills and knowledge. Has anyone else taken a long break and managed to come back smoothly? short-staffed is whatt every hospital will encounter.. The worst moment when there's more patients, fewer hands, and management’s only solution is ‘do more with less.’ I love helping people, but I’m so drained...physically, mentally, emotionally. Some days, I barely have time to eat or even take a proper break. A few colleagues have already left due to can't stand to work shift to shift?

Some days, I really wonder why I’m still here. This long hours really give me pain on my knees, endless patients, and barely any recognition. Glad the staff all nice to me, I really love them juust the slack a bit slack on upper management. Feels like they don’t see or care about the struggle on the ground. Should I just move to another hospital? But what if it’s the same everywhere? Just venting because I’m so drained.

Anyone happened to be in this position? Secured many interviews but was overqualified for Executives roles and underqualified for Manager post as my age plays a part. Went for more than 20 interviews why am i not given a chance :(

Does it really make a huge difference whether you work in the government or private sector? I know public hospitals offer stability and benefits, but private seems to pay more. Beyond just salary, which one actually treats its staff better in terms of work-life balance, career growth, and overall environment?
