I’m trying to apply for an accounting role but not sure how to write my application to stand out. I’ve got some experience in admin and data entry but no direct accounting experience. How can I highlight my skills to match the job requirements? Should I emphasize my attention to detail and organizational skills, or focus more on my willingness to learn and adaptability? Any tips for getting the hiring manager’s attention and making sure my application stands out?

Don't downplay your admin background! A lot of those skills overlap with accounting tasks. Show examples of how you managed data, kept records clean, or supported finance teams. Bonus if you’ve used Excel or accounting software, even a little!
