Client asked me to follow reference, then said it’s “not creative enough”. LOL! Story of my life. One of my clients gave me a very specific reference for their brand design. I followed it closely — layout, colour scheme, typography. Then they turned around and said, “Hmm... this looks too similar to the reference, can you do something more original?” I was like... bruh. 🤦♂️ I don’t mind feedback, but I wish clients were clearer with what they want from the start!

LOL been there! Gave them what they asked for, and somehow I was the problem. I try not to take it personally anymore, but man, clearer briefs would save everyone so much time.
