Hi. How do you stay positive and focused on your career growth when things don’t go as planned, like missing out on a promotion? Long story short, my manager promised me new role with a better pay early this year. Then, i brought up this topic last week to her, and ask her how's my performance. She said im not ready for it yet, have to wait for next years perhaps :( I’d love some tips on keeping that momentum going

A smart strategy during these formative years is to try experience different tasks and learn. Enhance your skills, express yourself, be curious to explore tasks outside of your immediate KPIs. Eg: if you aspire to be a team leader in 3 years, list down the essential skills required for that role. Research by speaking to your supervisor, peers in that role or similar JD on LinkedIn. 🌟 Be proactive to acquire these skills. It will put you ahead for promotion opportunities.
