Hi everyone, I was laid off a year ago at 34. Since then, I’ve attended over 40 admin job interviews with no offers. I also applied for HR roles but wasn’t shortlisted. I’ve worked mainly in admin and completed a HR certificate. I’m unsure what to improve next. If I continue in admin or shift into HR-admin, what highest roles, skills, or part-time courses should I pursue? Also, how have others navigated career changes after 35? What habits or mindsets help build a stable, long-term career?

You’re doing everything right by reflecting and upskilling. Maybe look into certifications like CHRM or learn HR analytics cause i read data skills are gold nowadays.. btw, what you feel also it's normal ya, dont give up!! :)
