Fresh grad here and this is my 1st full-time job. I’m an introverted, so I usually keep to myself & try to settle things on my own. But lately, I notice my boss been giving me silent treatment, and my colleagues have started to avoid me too. I feel like they’re indirectly asking me to quit. My boss says my work isn’t up to standard and that she’s given me “many chances.” I honestly don’t know how to fix myself. I don’t want to lose this job, but whatever I do is always wrong. Help me pls!!

Crazy how in workplace those introverts will sure be questioned regarding work performance. I bet you put so much effort right, like showing up to office on time and do your work and possibly do more than what’s asked of you

Don’t blame yourself for being an introvert. The reality is that many introverts thrive in the workplace, often excelling cause they focus on delivering quality work w dedication & attention to detail. Don’t hesitate to speak up or ask for help when needed, reach out to colleagues for advice on how to improve at work. However, if u find that your colleagues are becoming distant or engaging in toxic behaviour targeted at u, try consider a fresh start in healthier workplace. Secure a new job first

I feel you bro. And i believe all introvert guy out there might experience the same too. It's so sad when boss cant recognize our effort just because we got labelled as quiet. Do you have any close colleagues there? Maybe can talk with them about this, like having small chats with them might help you to gain some support from them.

I’ve managed teams before, and here’s the truth. Most bosses would rather see someone trying than someone pretending 🥂 hopefully everything gets better for you

The moment the colleagues start avoiding you, it’s game over (in most office politics) They’ve likely labelled you already 💀💀💀 You can try to fix it, but don’t waste too much energy if the culture’s already this cold.

You’re brave for speaking up. A lot of people have rocky starts. Maybe it’s not about fixing yourself la, but more to like figuring out what they expect.

Are you sure your colleagues are avoiding you? If you’re sure you’re not being paranoid and imagining things, then it’s time to leave. Or ask to transfer to a new dept if possible. I assume you have begun your job search already. If your boss doesn’t like you, it’s pointless to stay. Quit only when you’ve landed a new job, unless the situation is severely ruining your mental health. All the best and God bless you. 🙏❤️🙂

Try not to stress so much. This is your first job, learn as much as you could . Be open and engage with your colleagues more often. Fighting 💪🏽

Bro if you dont socialize starting from now... you might not be considered for future promotions. A huge part of work culture is collaborating and socializing with your colleagues. Don’t have to be friends in real life but you need to put more effort into talking to them if you want any type of promotion in the future.
